ASUS is back with the STRIX OC edition; check out the factory-modified Radeon RX 6700 XT with dual BIOS and an amazing cooler. In silent BIOS mode, this card is completely silent. Will having 12 GB of GPU memory be enough? The year 2022 is about halfway through and AMD is now revamping its RDNA 2 graphics card portfolio with a new family of graphics cards. All are revamped and therefore reconfigured products and this means that they are not a new generation of boards, but rather an incremental improvement based on the same RDNA 2 architecture. The main difference here is the use faster memory. All three graphics cards include up to 18 Gbps of GDDR6 memory chips, compared to 16 Gbps on non-50 builds. Some AIBs will configure the 6650 XT at 17.5 Gbps, but with OC models configured at 18 Gbps. All graphics cards also use a comparable GPU to their predecessor, but will arrive with increased memory and boost/game clock rates. As such, the AMD Radeon RX 6950 XT will sit above the Radeon RX 6900 XT, and the Radeon RX 6750 XT will sit above the Radeon RX 6700 XT. of course, the Radeon RX 6650 XT will be placed above the Radeon RX 6600 XT. Think of it as AMD’s own “SUPER”; however, the shader and number of RTs remain the same without major advancements. The range is intended to provide performance improvements of between 5-10%, and memory will play an important role in achieving these performance goals. Again, the new range would be as follows:

  • Radeon RX 6950 XT: 5120 SP, 16 GB GDDR6 (18 Gbps), 256-bit bus, 335 W TBP
  • Radeon RX 6900 XT: 5120 SP, 16 GB GDDR6 (16 Gbps), 256-bit bus, 300 W TBP
  • Radeon RX 6750 XT: 2560 SP, 12 GB GDDR6 (18 Gbps), 192-bit bus, 250 TBP
  • Radeon RX 6700 XT: 2560 SP, 12 GB GDDR6 (16 Gbps), 192-bit bus, 230 W TBP
  • Radeon RX 6650 XT: 2048 SP, 8 GB GDDR6 (18 Gbps), 128-bit bus, 180 TBP
  • Radeon RX 6600 XT: 2048 SP, 8 GB GDDR6 (16 Gbps), 128-bit bus, 160 W TBP

Sapphire Radeon RX 6750 XT NITRO+ Series

Introducing the ASUS ROG Gaming OC. The high-end graphics card is equipped with 12 GB of 192-bit, 18 Gbps GDDR6 memory. This card features triple fan cooling and dual bios design with performance and quiet modes; once the GPU warms up, the three fans start spinning and cooling, until that time it is passive. The modified RX 6750 XT graphics card has a stark black design with a backplate. In the I/O area, the board includes three DisplayPort 1.4 ports and one HDMI 2.1 port. Clock frequencies are listed as a boost of 2623 MHz. However, the Boost frequency is no longer a fixed parameter these days and can even vary a bit per card. The TGP allocation in performance mode is 230W. But as mentioned, depending on the power allocation and even the quality of the ASIC, it can have different values. The 12 GB GDDR6 memory is clocked at 2250 MHz (18 Gbps effective). We tested the factory-modified OC variant, which still overclocks quite well and makes this device a bit faster than the standard model’s Founder’s Edition spec.
